China has allowed two coronavirus vaccines to be applied experimentally to human bodies. The country has suffered a second infection due to people returning from abroad.
Al Jazeera reports that Sinovac Biotech in Beijing and the Wuhan Institute for Biological Products have developed experimental vaccines. The Chinese National Health Commission confirmed the matter.
In early March, Beijing approved a ticker for clinical trials. The vaccine was produced by the Institute for Biotechnology and Military Medical Sciences administered by the country’s medical academy, Kensino Bio.
As they say, China is testing three different vaccines to prevent coronavirus. The country’s National Health Commission also says that if the vaccine is successful, they will be able to go into mass production worldwide.
John Nichols, a clinical professor of pathology at the University of Hong Kong, considers it a discouraging decision to allow testing of the human body. He said that the vaccine cannot be administered to the human body without a beep. Small animals first, then humans, and then the scenario is applied to the human body. However, this decision in China is very bold. Especially through the application of the body of the elderly, it is easy to understand how effective this innovation is.
In the first phase, 6 volunteers were selected for the experimental application. Another team is being formed for the next level.
Internal transmission is very limited in China today. However, it is suspected that the virus is being detected in the bodies of people from Russia. The number of such infections has reached 3. Of the 8 coronary patients identified in China on Monday, 3 returned from Russia. Each enters China through the border of Heilongjiang, the northeast province.
According to information provided by the country, no one died in China in 24 hours from the coronavirus. The virus has been detected in 12,220 people so far. Of these, 5.8 people died.
