In Karimganj of Kishoreganj, a five-year-old girl was allegedly raped after breaking into a house. The incident took place in the Santarpur village of the Kadirjungal union of the Upazila at midnight on Sunday. The boy was admitted to the 250-bed Kishoreganj General Hospital on Monday morning. On the other hand, the night after the incident, the rapist Mohammad Ali (45) screamed. He is the son of the late Abu Hossain from the village of Santarpur. Mohammad Ali has been accused of sexually abusing children and women on several occasions.
Police and local sources said the boy fell asleep with his parents at their home after Sunday dinner. At midnight, Mohammad Ali broke into their house and took the sleeping boy to the farm field next to the house. The boy stayed there after the rape. Hearing the cries of the child, a woman from the village went to the scene and rescued the injured child and took her home. Later on Monday morning, the boy was admitted to the Kishoreganj General Hospital with 250 beds. The boy is currently in treatment there. The child cries in fear and panic when people see him.
Karimganj Police Station OC Mominul Islam confirmed the incident and said police were conducting raids at different locations to arrest rapist Mohammad Ali. In addition, preparations are under way to present a case at the police station.
