Mirpur Model Police arrested Sabuj Al Sahba, vice president of the Dhaka North Chhatra Metropolitan League, in a case of rape of a domestic worker in the capital. The OC said: “Sabuj Al Sahba and his accomplice Fatema Jhumur have been arrested. Speaking of medical treatment, Fatema took a young woman to a rented house in western Manipur de Sabuj on the night of September 26. Green raped the young woman showing fear. Holds it all night. The victim filed a case on October 1 for this incident. Sabuj and Fatima were later arrested. The victim has been referred to a doctor for a medical examination. The young woman works as a domestic worker.
According to the complaint in the case, Fatema went out with the girl on September 26 at noon to see a doctor. Then she took the girl to Sabuj’s house. In the evening, Fatema sent him to the green room. He claims to have a physical relationship with him. When the young woman did not agree, Fatema closed the door from outside. Green forcibly rapes her. Fatema took Sabuj out of the house and paid 10,000 rupees in the morning and fell asleep in the house at night. On September 30 they went home. Subsequently, the girl informed her relatives about the matter. She then filed a case on the morning of October 1.
