Sylhet: BCL leaders and activists have been accused of gang-raping his wife while keeping her husband in custody at Sylhet MC College.

The couple visited the Tilagarh area in Sylhet on Friday (September 25).

They were arrested in the dormitory of the Sylhet Murari Chand (MC) College and allegedly raped in turn.

Upon receiving the news, police rescued the couple from the bedroom around 10:30 pm on Friday. The woman, who was raped at midnight, was later admitted to the One-Stop Crisis Center (OCC) at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.

According to the complaint, so-called Chhatra League leaders and activists from the Tilagarh-based Ranjit group have detained the husband and raped his wife.

Sylhet Shah Paran Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kaiyum Chowdhury told banglanews that police went to the bedroom and rescued the couple after receiving information that a woman had been gang-raped while in detention. in the bedroom. The rescued woman has reported a gang rape. He was later admitted to the OCC center at Osmani Hospital. The police have launched an operation to catch the accused.

Sylhet Metropolitan Police Additional Deputy Commissioner (Media) Jortimoy Sarkar told banglanews that the husband of the gang-raped woman lived in the South Surma area of ​​Sylhet. The woman’s husband alleged that he had gone to the Tilagarh area with his wife on Friday afternoon. At that time, four / five young people took them hostage and took them into the bedroom. Later they raped his wife on a street inside the bedroom.

MC College Hostel Superintendent Jamal Uddin said: “I have received reports that a couple were detained in some dormitories.” Later the police came to rescue them.
