A young man named Jewel Ahmed alias Sabuj (22) was killed in a shooting with the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Gazipur. He was an accused fugitive in the murder of the boy Alif.

The incident took place in the Konabari area on Sunday night. Previously, a man named Sagar was arrested for being involved in the shocking murder.

Confirming the matter, Abdullah Al Mamun, commander of the RAB-1 Porabari camp company, said that Jewel’s friend Sagar, who was involved in Alif’s murder, was arrested in the Pubail area of ​​City Corporation on Saturday night. He described the murders on Sunday afternoon. According to him, Alif’s half-dead body was recovered from his home’s fake warehouse.

Sagar also gave information on Jewel. According to him, an operation was launched to arrest Jewel in the Konabari area on Sunday night. At this time, Jewel fired at the RAB. He was killed on the spot when the RAB also fired in self defense.

Two RAB members were injured in the incident. A foreign pistol and ammunition were recovered from the scene. Abdullah Al Mamun also said that the body of the deceased was sent to the morgue of the Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical School Hospital for an autopsy.

Sagar and Jewel previously kidnapped their five-year-old son, Alif Hossain, on April 29 to avenge the slap that his father Farhad Hossain gave him. He was later strangled to death in a plastic bag and thrown into a fake warehouse.
