The date of verification and selection of the civil bulletins published by the heroic freedom fighters has been modified without the approval of the National Council of Freedom Fighters (Jamuka). The verification and selection work will be done on January 9 instead of December 19.
This information was given in a notification from the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs on Sunday (December 13).
This verification and selection is done as part of the publication of the list of true heroic freedom fighters. The decision was made at the 71st meeting of the National Council of Freedom Fighters held on December 3.
The list of 39,981 freedom fighters has been published on the website of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs of those whose names have been included in the civil gazette as heroic freedom fighters without Jamuka’s recommendation in violation of Section 8 (i) of the ‘Law of the National Council of Freedom Fighters, 2002’.
According to the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs, if the name of a heroic freedom fighter is included in the Indian list or the Lal Muktibarta or 33 types of evidence recognized by the Ministry, it will be out of the scope of scrutiny.
If the name of any of those heroic freedom fighters has been forgotten and posted on the verifiable list on the website of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs or Jamuka, the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has requested to contact with the office of the concerned Upazila Nirbahi Deputy Commissioner / Officer.
