Professor Manjurul said that many struggling leaders have led independence and nation building. But they did not have to deal with adversity like Bangabandhu. Bangabandhu has exceeded time and has written his name in the history book.

Highlighting the scope of Bangabandhu’s achievements in his short life of just 54 years, he said: “These achievements give him the status of an exemplary personality in the context of his contemporaries and the long history of human struggle in the world. His goals they were very accurate due to their keen political thinking and historical awareness and their clear understanding of society and people. “

Commenting that Bangabandhu will always be remembered by the nation for his lifelong work, philosophy and focus, the literary critic said: “He becomes a permanent presence at work.”

“Russia remembers the great political figure Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who as a militant leader dedicated himself to the freedom and happiness of the people and was a true friend of Russia,” he said.

Referring to the Bengalis with whom Russia sided during the liberation war, the Russian Foreign Minister said: “The people of East Bengal paid a high price for their right to control their own destiny. At that time, our country provided significant political support to Bangladesh and played a role in the recovery of the economy of the war-torn country.

“In this 21st century, our new generation must be aware of the unlimited sacrifices of its predecessors to achieve independence,” he said. As a neighbor and close friend, Sri Lanka will work side by side to achieve greater independence for Bangladesh.
