The home of Prime Minister Mamata Banerjee’s nephew, Abhishek Banerjee, was raided by CBI agents. On Tuesday, they interrogated Abhishek’s wife, Rujira, for an hour and a half. After questioning, CBI officers went directly to his office at the Nizam Palace. There they met.
According to Trinamool sources, Rujira has fully cooperated with CBI agents. He answered all the questions. But according to CBI sources, Rujira has avoided many questions. In response to many questions, he said he knew nothing. I can not say anything.
CBI officers first asked some general questions about his foreign bank account.
CBI sources said they did not get answers to those questions. CBI officials also questioned Ruzira about the coal scandal and her sister. They couldn’t be satisfied with Rujira’s answer.
CBI officers prepared an eight-page question paper and took it away. There were eight CBI agents. The CBI was headed by rank officer SP Biswajit Das. However, the CBI did not say what would be done after that and whether Rujira would be questioned again.
Mamata in Abhishek’s house
Mamata Banerjee arrived at Abhishek’s home shortly before CBI officers arrived. He was there for nine minutes. Three minutes after he left, CBI officers entered. The chief minister did not say why he went to his nephew’s house, nor did Abhishek.
They searched the house of the BJP leader
Police recently arrested BJP leader Pamela with cocaine. Later, Pamela appointed Rakesh Singh, a close associate of BJP leader Kailash Vijayavargi. Police called Rakesh to Lalbazar for questioning on a drug case. But it was not. Instead, he appealed to the Superior Court. After the High Court rejected his application, the police went to his home. When the police went to search the house, Rakesh’s son arrested him. Later, the police entered the house and searched it.

Questions about the weather
Veteran journalist Soumya Bandyopadhyay believes that sand smuggling, coal scams, catching up when extra gold is brought to the airport have been on the market for a long time. He told DW why the issue is moving ahead of the vote now. Why not before? If there is a complaint, it should always be questioned. But why would the CBI, CID, the police be used for political interests?
According to Soumya, the case is closed only if he opposes the government. As the water hyacinth grows, so does the number of treason cases. A treason case has been filed against 22 farmers. This trend is deadly. That’s where in power, they can take this path.
What could the reaction be? BJP leaders say the accusations they made about the nephew are proving to be true. And the bases say it will be a boomerang. People will be upset. However, the verdict of the people will be understood after the result of the vote.
