Tourists have been banned from traveling to the torn island of St. Martin. In addition, the Ministry of the Environment, Forests and Climate Change has ordered the closure of six types of activities in San Martín to protect the environment. It was learned that these instructions have been given in a circular issued by the ministry on October 12.

Tourist traffic to San Martín will increase from November. The circular has been issued in this regard. The Coast Guard is tasked with implementing the directive. According to the Department of the Environment, there are still some living marine corals on the torn island of St. Martin. These decisions have been made to preserve corals.

According to the ministry’s instructions, from now on, mechanical vehicles such as motorcycles and motorized vehicles will not be allowed on St. Martin’s Beach. No lights or fires can be lit there at night. No noise or loud music can be arranged at night. Ships traveling from Teknaf to St. Martin cannot carry more passengers than the allowed number of passengers. Approved additional and unauthorized building materials will not be allowed to travel to St. Martin. The use of contaminants such as polyethylene and plastic bottles will be restricted.

The cooperation of the Coast Guard has been sought in the implementation of the decision. According to the circular, the Coast Guard has been authorized by the Bangladesh Environmental Protection Act of 1995 to stop activities that destroy the environment and the environment on the island of Sint Maarten.
