Social media Facebook appointed Sabhanaz Rashid Dia as country manager in Bangladesh. Bangladesh got a Facebook representative through this appointment. Facebook hired him last July. He is said to be working on the Bengali language and Bangladeshi politics.
The Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Mustafa Jabbar, met with Facebook on Monday (September 8) on a digital platform. At that meeting, Facebook authorities introduced Dia as a Bangladesh affairs officer.
Mustafa Jabbar thanked Facebook at the meeting for appointing a Bengali speaker to take care of the Bangladeshi side. The minister believes that this initiative will quickly solve any problems related to Facebook in the country.
Sabhanaz Rashid Dia graduated from the Independent University of Bangladesh with a BA in Economics and Communication. He has a master’s degree in public policy and data science from the University of California, USA He has been the founder and CEO of a non-profit organization called the One Degree Initiative for 10 years. He has also worked in various organizations, including Google, World Bank, USAID.
