The burial of National Professor Anisuzzaman has been completed. He was buried in the Azimpur cemetery in the capital.
Anisuzzaman’s son, Anand Zaman, said he was buried at 10 a.m. on Friday following government health regulations.
He added that a team from Markazul Islam visited the Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka around 9 a.m. and completed the preparations for Professor Anisuzzaman’s funeral.
Then, he was taken to Azimpur. He was buried there with prayers from Janazah and other preparations, as well as an honor guard.
He also said that all members of his family were unable to attend the funeral since Professor Anisuzzaman Corona was positive.
However, Anisuzzaman’s brother Akhtaruzzaman, his son Anand Zaman and daughter-in-law Azimul Haque attended the janaza on behalf of the family.
Also present were the Minister of State for Culture KM Khalid and Abul Khair Litu of the Bengal Foundation.
It is worth mentioning that National Professor Anisuzzaman breathed for the last time while receiving treatment at the Dhaka Combined Military Hospital yesterday.
On April 26, Professor Anisuzzaman was admitted to the Universal Medical College Hospital in Mohakhali in critical condition. As his condition did not improve, he was later transferred to the Combined Military Hospital. In addition to heart problems, the 63-year-old professor suffered from kidney, lung and respiratory complications.
