The Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (BTRC) has called on the Facebook and YouTube authorities to remove the documentary titled ‘All the Prime Minister’s Men’ broadcast on Qatar-based Al Jazeera. They made the request to the two companies by phone and email.

The High Court has ordered the withdrawal of the documentary “All the Prime Minister’s Men” aired on Wednesday on Al Jazeera. The court asked the BTRC to implement the order. BTRC then sent the request to Facebook and YouTube.

BTRC President Shyam Sundar Sikder said: “BTRC has already requested the authorities of Facebook and YouTube by phone and email to remove content broadcast on Al Jazeera about Bangladesh. Since the wise High Court has ordered the removal of the content, the BTRC will take appropriate steps to remove the content.
