The broadcast of several Indian channels, including Star Jalsa and Star Plus, stopped in Bangladesh. Cable Operators of Bangladesh (COAB) has announced that these channels will not be broadcast in Bangladesh in protest at the arbitrariness of Jadu Vision, a distributor of five-star channels.
Previously, Cable Operators of Bangladesh (COAB) had threatened to shut down the Star Group channel at a press conference on October 28. SM Anwar Parvez, founding president of the Bangladesh Cable Operators Association (COAB), told reporters that cable operators had stopped broadcasting Star Group (Star Plus, Star Jalsa, National Geographic, Star Gold and Life OK) starting at 6 pm on November 4.
Meanwhile, Kunal Deshmukh, CEO of Jadu Vision Limited, said that there are currently more than 600 legal cable operators in the country, with a small number of cable operators trying to assert their supremacy at various times by presenting themselves as the Coab Unity Council.
Claiming that some operators have created an embarrassing situation on behalf of Star Boycott, Kunal said that they are not paying a large number of bills under various pretexts.
