Nazma Begum is the first female Brigadier General in the Medical Corps (Health Care Management) of the Bangladesh Army. She is the first female army officer to be appointed captain of a field ambulance.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday that it had twice commanded a UN level 2 hospital as the first contingent commander in UN history. Twice served as a Country Senior in the Mission Area.
