It has been alleged that a lover named Hridoy (22) was brutally murdered by his brothers while visiting his girlfriend. The incident took place at the home of the late Omed Ali Islam’s son-in-law at Sara Gopalpur school in Ishwardi Upazila on Sunday noon. The deceased was identified as Halim from the village of Islampara in the same upazila.
According to the information provided by the neighbors, at the time of the incident, the Islam SSC examinee in the area came to meet his heart due to his love affair with his daughter. Later, the lover’s brother, Anis, and his cousin Sajib beat him and hurt his heart.
Mumtaz Parveen, the doctor in charge of the Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex, said two young men took Hridoy to the hospital in an unconscious state around noon. Hridoy reportedly fell ill while working at home. He was pronounced dead by ECG in an emergency. Thereafter, the two young men fled. No signs of injury were found on the body.
Ishwardi Police Officer in Charge (OC) Sheikh Mohammad. Nasir Uddin said they were trying to find out the cause of the murder. There are no signs of injury to the deceased. The body has been sent to the morgue. Attempts are being made to arrest the young people who took their hearts to the hospital in an unconscious state.
