Three motorcyclists were killed in a truck accident in Nagarpur upazila of Tangail. There was a love story between the two murdered. They ran away from home in the dead of night to get married. There was another friend on the motorcycle to help them. He also died in the accident.
The accident occurred in the Dashtar area of the Tangail-Aricha highway around 1 am on Tuesday. The identities of the dead were not immediately available.
The deceased was identified as 15-year-old Mamta, daughter of Abdul Mannan from the Kakmara area in Sadar upazila, examined by the Vivekananda High School SSC. Shubh Akhter Sunny, 18, son of Abdul Barek from the village of Jangalia in Delduar upazila and his friend Bappi, 22, are the sons of Mostafa from the Kortia ring road.
The OC investigation from Nagarpur Police Station Baharul Islam confirmed the information.
He said the two teenagers were heading to Tangail on a motorcycle after fleeing from Nanabari in the village of Duburia in Nagarpur. A friend of his was also on a motorcycle to cooperate at the time.
Three people were killed instantly when a truck coming from the opposite direction collided with the motorcycle around 1 a.m.
The body was recovered and taken to the police station. The deadly truck was impounded in the incident but the driver escaped.
