BNP now has two enemies: Mirza Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said the government had turned the Electoral Commission into a party organization. In this country, they have established a party electoral system by changing the electoral system under a government without parties.

He said that the BNP now has two enemies. One is the coronavirus; Which has upset our entire nation. The other is the Awami League government. Those who are illegally destroying democracy by establishing a one-party government to stay in power.

He said this at a staff meeting hosted by Upazila BNP at the Pirganj Municipal Auditorium in Thakurgaon at 8pm on Tuesday.

Mirza Fakhrul further said that after coming to power, the Awami League government has violated the constitution by promulgating a very well planned law and changed the constitution. BNP believes in democracy, that’s why we participate in elections. This government must be overthrown by vote.

Later, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir handed over a wad of rice to BNP candidate Rezaul Karim Raja in the upcoming Pirganj municipal elections.
