Clashes break out among the Rohingya for dominance of the Kutupalong camp in Ukhia, Cox’s Bazar. So far four people have been reported dead. The conflict continues.
The additional commissioner for repatriation and aid for refugees, Mohammad Samsuddauja, confirmed the information at 8:50 pm on Tuesday.
He said clashes and shootings between new and old Rohingya in Kutupalong camp, the center of domination, have been going on for the past few days. On October 4 and 5, 3 Rohingya died. On Tuesday morning, the RAB raided the scene and arrested 9 Rohingya robbers with weapons and ammunition.
He added that two groups clashed over the dominance of the Rohingya at Kutupalong Camp-1 on Tuesday night. The clashes between the two parties still continue. However, it is not yet known how many people died in the incident. Members of the army, RAB, police and APBN are working to control the situation at the scene.
Additional Police Superintendent. Rafiqul Islam said four bodies have been recovered so far. One was beheaded and the other three were shot. A member of Ansar was injured in the incident. The fighting still continues.
