Dr. Nazimul said the admitted patient was transferred to the ICU as his condition worsened. But as his condition did not improve, it was decided to try Corona. Her results were positive last night, but the patient’s family kept the matter from us.
He said the patient underwent several physical exams at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. Since the patient was in the ICU, he was not sent. Laboratory staff came and took samples. Later, the test results arrived on the mobile of the patient’s relatives, but they kept it from us. We found out about it later because of our internal communication.
He added that in addition to that patient, there were five patients in the ICU. Three of them have been infected with a crown. Another’s report is negative, another’s report is pending.
Dr. Nazimul said that doctors and others who came into contact with the patient would be examined.
On Tuesday (April 21) afternoon, the patient was rushed from the hospital to the dedicated Covid-19 Hospital and transferred to another patient, where the ICU was disinfected and blocked, he said.
