Biman Bangladesh Airlines has received permission for special (non-scheduled) flights to Saudi Arabia starting in October. These flights will take expats back to Saudi Arabia.

Due to the coronavirus, Saudi Arabia’s air communication with Bangladesh was cut off as of March 16. Due to this, all flights scheduled as of March 16 were canceled. The airline does not sell any new tickets. In the event of ticket distribution, tickets will be reissued in phases from the flight cancellation date.

According to sources from Biman Bangladesh, the state airline will operate flights to Jeddah on September 30, 1, 4, 5 and 6. Additionally, Riyadh-bound passengers will operate flights on October 2, 4, 9, 11 and Dammam-bound passengers on October 1, 3 and 5.

Jeddah: Passengers traveling to Jeddah with tickets between March 22-24 were asked to contact the flight reservation desk on September 30-27. Those who had tickets from March 25-26 should contact us on October 1 for the flight and September 29 to reserve. Those who had tickets from March 29 to March 31 will need to contact us to reserve October 4 and reserve September 30. Those with tickets from April 1 to 4 will have a flight on October 5 and should contact on October 1. Those who had tickets between April 5 and 6 should contact the flight on October 6 and reservations on October 2.

Riyadh: Passengers traveling to Riyadh who have had tickets on March 22 and 23 will need to fly on October 2 (12:30 pm on October 1) and contact on September 29. Those who had tickets on March 24 and 25 will have a flight on October 4 (October 3 at 12:30 pm) and should contact on September 30. Ticket holders between March 26 and 27 should fly on October 9 (October 8 at 12:30 pm) and contact on October 3. Ticket holders March 29-30 will need to fly on October 11 (October 10 at 12:30 pm) and contact on October 4.

Dammam: Passengers with tickets to Dammam between March 18 and 19 should fly on October 1 and contact on September 27. Ticket holders for the March 21-24 flight will be contacted on October 3 and will be contacted on September 30. Corona test in Dhaka: Passengers bound for Saudi Arabia should arrive at the airport within 48 hours with a negative corona report. Passengers must bring six copies of negative Covid-19 test results. Since the Corona Negative Certificate is mandatory and must arrive in Saudi Arabia within 48 hours of collecting the sample, all passengers will need to undergo Covid testing from Dhaka and depart from Dhaka. According to Biman, return ticket holders should contact the Biman Sales Office to obtain tickets for this flight, including tickets, passports, approval of the specified applications / links in Saudi Arabia, etc. Reservations will be made in order of arrival.

Before and after the trip: Passengers must enter Saudi Arabia in accordance with the Covid-19 health protection controls and measures issued by the Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia. Before boarding the plane, passengers must complete and sign a declaration form from the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Health. The completed and signed form must be sent to the Airport Health Control Center upon arrival at the Saudi Arabian airport. Failure to comply with the instructions will result in the imposition of a hefty fine under Section 173 of the Civil Aviation Act.

Passengers must arrive at the airport with their smartphones six hours before the plane departs. Passengers should download the Tataman and Tawakkalna mobile apps mentioned in the disclaimer form (paragraph 2) of the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Health.

All passengers are required to report their location through the Tataman app within eight hours of arrival in Saudi Arabia. After arriving in Saudi Arabia, you will have to self-quarantine at home for seven days. All passengers should pay attention to the symptoms of Kavid-19.
