Large numbers of policemen were deployed to Baitul Mokaram, Paltan, Vijayanagar water tank, Nayapaltan area and Vijayanagar before noon on Friday, as various religious organizations had been holding such processions for the past Friday.
Security was also strengthened in the Shahbagh area. The policemen were also seen on alert from 12 noon. If there are any suspicions, the police interrogate or search them.
