At 10:30 am on Saturday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina joined as the main guest of Ganobhaban via video conference (VTC) and greeted the group of 95 recruits in the final parade. The prime minister said that as part of Smart Border Management, new BOPs, BSPs, state-of-the-art surveillance equipment, state-of-the-art ATVs and APCs, vehicle scanners and speedboats have been added at the border.
The parade was led by Major Kazi Manjurul Islam, officer in charge of the 95th batch of recruits, and Beg Abdullah Al Mamun, deputy director of the parade assistant.
It is worth mentioning that the basic training of the 95th group of recruits began on June 14, 2020 at the Border Guard Training Center and College. Out of a total of 691 recruits trained at BGTC & C, 590 were male and 201 female. In addition to BGTC & C, a total of 2,524 recruits, including 1,633 recruits from the 95th pool of recruits, completed basic training at 06 more training locations. After a successful 24-week hard and arduous training, his military life got off to a good start with a formal swearing-in and a final parade.
Referring to the various activities implemented by the current government for the overall development of the BGB, the Prime Minister ordered the new soldiers to attach importance to the principles of the BGB and said: “Discipline is the main identity of soldiers. A true soldier who never retracts from carrying out orders and duties. Honesty, intelligence, seriousness, loyalty, vigor and enthusiasm are the criteria of discipline and professionalism of a force. The reflection of these qualities in young soldiers has inspired and fascinated everyone. The Prime Minister welcomed the young soldiers on the auspicious occasion of their entry into new life.
