Berobi teachers insult the national flag

Several professors from Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur celebrated the victory on campus by distorting the national flag on Victory Day. The image shows the teachers changing the design and making the national flag a red rectangular shape instead of a red circle in green. When the image came to the attention of students and professors at the university, they began to criticize it through social media.

These teachers have been criticized for taking pictures with the national flag made as their own on Victory Day. People from various professions in the country including professors and university students have expressed their dissatisfaction with such activities of these professors through social networks.

Meanwhile, Ariful Islam Arif, former senior vice president of the university’s BCL branch, has filed a complaint against nine people, including six professors from Begum Rokeya University, for insulting the national flag on Victory Day. He filed the complaint at the city’s Tajhat Police Station on Thursday night. Tajhat Hat OC Police Station (investigation) Rabiul Islam said that a complaint had been filed in this regard. The matter is being investigated. However, the next step will be taken in consultation with higher authorities.

In his written complaint filed with the police station, the complainant said that the red part of the national flag in front of the university’s commemorative plaque on the great Victory Day on December 16 was displayed in a distorted and distorted manner.

Also, the flag is lowered and placed under the feet. The defendants are Adjunct Professor Tabiur Rahman Pradhan of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, Parimal Chandra Barman, Head of the Department of Bangla, Shamim Hossain, Professor of the Department of Geography and Environment, Sohag Ali, Professor of the Department of History and Archeology, Assistant Supervisor and Assistant Professor of Marketing. Masudul Hasan, Ram Prasad Barman of the Department of Social Sciences, Basak Rahmatullah, Assistant Professor of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Qayyum, Assistant Professor of the same Department, PS Aminur Rahman.

In addition, 8/9 more people were charged without identifying. The indictment further stated that when the fourth defendant posted the matter on Facebook, everyone’s eyes became visible on December 16. In addition, the defendants have voluntarily violated the rules of the national flag. Previously, the Chhatra League and the Mahanagar Juba League organized a procession in the city to protest the incident.

Meanwhile, Tabiur Rahman, secretary of the Association of University Professors, who was present in the film, has formally apologized about it. He also stated that he was not welcome.
