Maulana Mahmudul Hasan, Khatib de Muhtamim de Jatrabari Madrasa and Gulshan Azad Mosque have been elected as the new chairman of the Bangladesh Board of Education Qaumi Madrasa (BEFAC). The decision was made at an Amela meeting at the Befaq Majlis in Kajla in the capital on Saturday (October 3). Board members provide written comments. Befaq official Maulana Musleh Uddin Raju told the Bengali Tribune.
Maulana Musleh Uddin Raju said that Maulana Mahmudul Hasan has been elected president on the basis of the written opinion of the members of the assembly.
According to BEFAC sources, BEFAC members have been providing written comments since Saturday morning. At the time of writing this report at 3pm, there was a pause in the feedback process. Subsequently, the members of BEFAC will present a written opinion for the position of Secretary General.
It can be mentioned that Muhtamim Maulana Mahmudul Hasan of Jatrabari Madrasa is known in Qaumi gharana as a pro-government. He is the emir of a spiritual organization called Dawatul Haq in Majlis. Following the death of Allama Ahmad Shafi on September 18, the post of Befaq chairman was vacated.
