Barisal’s record win in Emon’s ‘fastest’ century

And today his young teammate Emon broke his record. He hit nine fours and six six. In the end, Afif Hossain (28) provided him with great company.

Previously, Barisal captain Tamim Iqbal invited Rajshahi to bat after winning the toss. However, Rajshahi’s two starters, Shant and Aminul Islam Emon, proved Tamim’s decision wrong. In the opening game, they put up a 131-run partnership in 12.2 overs. But Aminul came back with 69 runs but kept his cool at the wicket. Aminul had 6 fours and 3 sixes on 39 balls and returned the ball to Sumon Khan.

However, the team’s next hitters couldn’t match that way. But he pulled alone and calmed down. He led the team from the front and took a record century. The left-hander hit six of 96 runs. He completed his century with 52 balls. He hit 109 of 55 balls with four fours and 11 sixes before being eliminated in the last over of Kamrul Islam Rabbi’s innings.

Kamrul Islam Rabbi turned around brilliantly at the last change. In that finale, he became the fourth Bangladeshi to take 4 wickets, including a hat-trick at T20. In addition, Sumon Khan took 2 plots.

Parvez Hossain Emon was selected as the best of the match.
