Abul Hasanat Abdullah, Member of Parliament (MP) from the Barisal-1 constituency and convener (minister) of the Hill Tracts Peace Implementation Monitoring Committee, who was admitted to Square Hospital in the capital with symptoms of coronavirus, he’s on life support. However, his corona test report came back negative.
The MP’s treatment managers started treating his heart on Wednesday afternoon. Hasanat Abdullah’s personal assistant confirmed this information by citing the doctor in charge of Square Hospital in the capital. Khairul Bashar.
Earlier, Hasanat Abdullah fell ill around 8:15 pm Tuesday and was admitted to the hospital in the evening. As his condition was serious, that night he was transferred to the hospital ICU.
Abul Hasanat Abdullah’s eldest son, Barisal City Mayor Serniabat Sadiq Abdullah, said: Square Hospital around 9pm. At one point, his oxygen level drops to 31. His oxygen level returned to normal after he was taken to the ICU from the hospital. Phlegm is suspected to have accumulated in the lungs. Additionally, samples were also collected due to corona symptoms.
Incidentally, on the night of June 8, Abul Hasanat Abdullah’s wife, Sahan Ara Abdullah, fell ill at her home in Dhaka and was admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital (PG). She died later that night.
