BNP standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan said: “I think it is inhumane to prohibit Begum Khaleda Zia from going out for treatment by order of the government.” We consider it a humane act to lift the ban on you going abroad if necessary for medical treatment. That is our claim.
He made the demand in response to a statement by Justice Minister Anisul Haque on Wednesday afternoon, extending the stay of Khaleda Zia’s sentence.
Nazrul Islam Khan said: “Alhamdulillah, you can now stay at home, although there are various restrictions.” A man is about 6 years old. He is very ill, we all know it. You need to go abroad and receive better treatment. He was in the hospital for a long time, but could not recover.
Mentioning that we want a humane Bangladesh, he said: “We have to take him out if necessary for his medical treatment.” Whether or not he will go, whether or not he will have to go is a different matter. But we believe that it is inhumane for the government to prohibit it from receiving treatment.
On the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of the founding of the Nationalist Women’s Party, Nazrul Islam Khan along with leaders and activists, including its President Afroza Abbas and Secretary General Sultana Ahmed, laid a wreath at the grave of BNP founder Ziaur Rahman, at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar at 10:30 AM M. Later, they offered special prayers for the soul of the late leader.
At that time, the leaders of women’s parties Helen Jerin Khan, Nilofar Chowdhury Moni, Shammi Akhter, Yasmeen Ara Haque, Piara Mustafa, Shamsunnahar Bhuiyan and others were present.
