Khulna: A bank official named Abrar Rahman Shuvo, 34, committed suicide by jumping from the roof of a 10-story building in the Moulvipara area of ​​the Khulna metropolis.

He jumped from the roof around 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday (October 13).

Abrar Rahman Shubh Al Arafah was the Senior Executive Director of the Khulna branch of Islami Bank.

Ashraful Alam, the police officer in charge of Khulna, told banglanews that Shubh jumped from the building’s 10-story roof in the morning. He died on the spot. Upon receiving the news, the police recovered the body and sent it to the Khulna Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy. Shubh is the son of Atiyar Rahman, the tenant on the ninth floor of the building. It is believed that he committed suicide. The matter will be clear if the autopsy report is available. Closed-circuit camera footage is being collected in different parts of the building.

Bank officials said Shuvo lived with his parents and wife on the ninth floor of Modern Tower in the Moulvipara area of ​​the Khulna metropolis. On Monday (October 12), Al Arafah Bank was transferred from the Khulna branch to the Chuknagar branch. He was scheduled to join there on Tuesday morning. Colleagues greeted him from the bench. Shubh was a hard worker and honest in his career.
