A young man from Bangladesh has been shot and killed by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) in Chuadanga. The deceased was identified as Amedul Hossain, 28. The incident took place around 4 am on Sunday (October 18) at the Thakurpur border in Damurhuda upazila de Chuadanga. According to the family and locals of the deceased, 5-6 Bangladeshi cattle traders, including Amedul Hossain from Thakurpur village in Damurhuda upazila district, went to the Thakurpur border around 4 am on Sunday. When they approached Zero Point on the border around 4 a.m., a patrol team from the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) chased them. Amedul Islam was shot dead by BSF despite the fact that his other associates fled at the time. Later, his body was dumped inside India at Pillar No. 69 on the border. His body is said to lie 100 meters within the Hudapara border in India.
Chuadanga-6 BGB Captain Lt. Colonel Mohammad Khalequzjan confirmed the incident and said that a letter was being sent to the BSF demanding the return of the body and protesting the incident.
