A young man from Bangladesh named Amedul Hossain (28) was shot dead by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) in Chuadanga. The incident took place around 4 am on Sunday (October 18) at the Thakurpur border in Damurhuda upazila de Chuadanga.

The deceased was identified as Amedul Hossain, son of Shahidul Islam from the village of Thakurpur. Tensions are high at the border after the incident.

Locals said that 5-6 cattle traders, including Amedul Hossain from Thakurpur village in Damurhuda upazila, were illegally crossing the border into India via Main Pillar No. 69 of the Thakurpur border at around 4 am on Sunday. .

At that time, BSF members patrolling the Hudapara camp in India shot them. Others fled, but Amedul Hossain was shot and killed on the spot. His body now lies on the border of Hudapara, 100 meters from India.

Chuadanga-6 BGB Captain Lt. Colonel Mohammad Khalequzjan confirmed the incident and said that a letter was being sent to the BSF demanding the return of the body and protesting the incident.
