The prime minister said this in a telephone conversation with Nepalese Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Tuesday afternoon, said Ihsanul Karim, the prime minister’s press secretary.

“The Prime Minister of Nepal, KP Sharma Oli, called the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, at 5 pm and requested 50,000 metric tons of fertilizer from Nepal for Nepal. In response, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh agreed to give fertilizer to Nepal, ”he said.

In a 20-minute telephone conversation, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also assured Nepal that it would provide rail transit, Ihsanul Karim said.

The Prime Minister of Nepal expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh.

At that time, the two leaders expressed the hope that a Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) would be signed between the two countries to expand trade and commerce between the two countries.

The two leaders also agreed to work towards the development of bilateral cooperative relations between Nepal and Bangladesh, said Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim.

He said that the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, congratulated the Prime Minister of Nepal for successfully tackling the Kovid-19 epidemic.
