Six aircraft purchased in China for Air Force training have arrived in the country. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release on Thursday.

It is mentioned in the press release that the current government is trying to modernize the Bangladesh Air Force under the leadership and dedicated efforts of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. In its continuation, 6 state-of-the-art K-7W trainer aircraft manufactured in China were acquired for the Air Force through CATIC under a purchase agreement with the Chinese government.

All six planes landed at the Bangladesh Zahurul Haque Air Force Base, Chittagong on Thursday (October 15) via a successful ferry flight directly from Dehang Mansi, China by the Bangladeshi Air Force pilot himself.

The mission was led by Bangladesh Air Force Group Captain AKM Abdur Razzak, PSC, GD (P). After the planes landed at Zahurul Haq base, they were received there in the traditional Air Force manner.

Present on the occasion were the Chief of Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force, Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, BBP, OSP, NDU, PSC and Senior Staff Officers of Biman Sadar, the Air Commander of the Zahurul Haque Air Force Base and other senior officials.

According to ISPR, the inclusion of the newly purchased A8 aircraft with the existing K-7W trainer aircraft in the Bangladesh Air Force will greatly enhance the capabilities of the force and enhance the Air Force’s training system.
