Bangladesh-Nepal will work to utilize potential fields

The Press Secretary said: “The President said that there are many areas between Bangladesh and Nepal where the two countries can work together to advance the development of the two countries. He called on entrepreneurs and investors from the two countries to come together to take advantage of this opportunity. At the same time, he emphasized the exchange of visits at high levels from the public and private sectors.

Expressing satisfaction with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with Nepal, the President said that it would play a positive role in the development of the respective sectors of the two countries.

The press secretary said: “Vidya Devi Bhandari praised the progress made in the socio-economic development of Bangladesh, especially in the empowerment and development of women.”

Vidya Bhandari thanked Nepal for providing 50,000 metric tons of urea fertilizer to Nepal in the GTZ process.

Subsequently, the President of Nepal participated in the dinner hosted by the President. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Bangabandhu’s daughter, Sheikh Rehana, also attended the state banquet. Also present were several members of the cabinet, the head of the three forces, the IG of the police.

The President of Nepal arrived in Dhaka on Monday morning to attend the Mujib Year and the Golden Jubilee of Independence. He then paid tribute to the heroic martyrs of the liberation war at the Savar National Monument.
