“Don’t forget that if the government wanted, no one in custody could return safely from Shapla Chattar. Jamaat-BNP, Kasemi-Mamunul Haque are all the same militant group. We will not go home without resisting tomorrow.”
The leaders and activists of the Awami League who followed the late mayor of Chittagong ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury held this anti-militancy rally.
MR Azim said: “This is Masterda, Pritilata, Moniruzzaman Islamabadi, Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury, MA Mannan, Chittagong from ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury. There will be no place for militants here ”.
The leader of the Labor League, Abul Hossain Abu, said: “Mamunul Haque is a war criminal and the ghost of Pakistanis. They want to spread communal poison. They have no place in this Chittagong. ”
Former Chittagong Press Club General Secretary Shuklal Das said: “These are the defeated forces of 1971. They do business with religion, they don’t practice it. There have been repeated struggles since Chittagong to establish secularism.
“Golam Azam has been prevented from this Chittagong. Sayedee’s mahfil has closed. Together we will fight the militants. ”
Speaking on the occasion, Nagar Chhatra League President Imran Ahmed said: “I condemn the comments made by Mamunul Haque about the independent architect of Bangabandhu from Bangladesh. I insulted him. Their assembly will not be held in Chittagong. They want to create a terrorist anarchy by capitalizing on religion. “

An organization called ‘Al Amin Sangstha’ has organized a three-day ‘Tafsirul Quran Mahfil-2020’ starting on November 25 on the grounds of the Parbati Model Government Secondary School in Hathazari Sadar.
The company organizes this meeting every winter. Although under the organization’s banner, the organizers are related to Hefazat-e-Islam.
Mamunul Haque is one of the three keynote speakers at Friday’s meeting. The other two are Junaid Al-Habib and Hafez Hassan Jamil.
