Bad proposal to heroine Sravanti, young woman arrested in Khulna

A 33-year-old man named Mahabubar Rahman was arrested for allegedly sending offensive messages to Indian actress Sravanti on her personal phone.

The young man arrested is the son of Atiqur Rahman, a tenant of Shamsul Alam’s house, a resident of 8/1 Bakshipara Road below the Sonadanga Model Police Station in Khulna. The police have requested a five-day pre-trial detention for questioning.

After a pretrial detention hearing on Thursday (November 19), the Khulna Metropolitan Magistrate granted a one-day pretrial detention.

Actress Sravanti appealed to the government of Bangladesh for justice through the High Commission of India. Based on that source, the case was registered at the Sonadanga Model Police Station of the Khulna Metropolitan Police on November 18 on instructions from the Police Headquarters through the Ministry of the Interior.

According to sources in the case, the defendant Mahabubur Rahman used to call the Indian actress Sravanti’s personal phone at different times. Mahabub used to text the heroine Sravanti with various offensive and bad proposals as she did not answer the call from an unknown number.

Sonadanga Model Police SI said the plaintiff in the case. Khalid Uddin. The case is being investigated by the same police inspector Radhe Shyam Sarkar. In the case it was mentioned that the country’s image has been tarnished by giving an offensive message to the actress Sravanti.

In this regard, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the Sonadanga Model Police Station, Mamtazul Haque, said that the defendant has been handed over to justice after a case under Section 27/31 of the Digital Security Law of 2016 by instructions of higher authorities.
