A mother has given birth in the cabin of the MV Adventure-9 launch on the Dhaka-Barisal route. After the baby was born last night, launch authorities announced that the baby and her parents would ride the launch for free.
MV Adventure launch supervisor Masud Khan said the baby was born in the launch booth around 11:30 pm on the way from Dhaka to Barisal. Earlier, when the labor pains arose, the launch authorities asked if there were doctors and nurses among the passengers. At that moment, some of the passengers, including a doctor, approached for help.
The news of the baby’s birth spread joy throughout the launch. Owner of the adventure launch. Nizam Uddin Mridha announced that the launch trip of the boy and his parents would be free for life and Nizam’s wife named daughter Nusaiba in his honor.
The boy’s mother, Fahima Begum and Md. Forkan Hawaldar’s home is in the village of Bakerganj in Barisal, in Dudhal. They both work in a garment factory in Dhaka.
Launch supervisor Masud Khan said the couple went home to Bakerganj with their son in the morning with the help of relatives.
