Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced that Armenian troops have been evacuated from seven more areas in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region. He made the announcement in a post on his official Twitter page, Iranian news agency IRNA reported.
In a Twitter message, President Aliyev said Azerbaijani troops had stormed the villages of Mirak and Kawdar in Jibril county, the villages of Mashhadi-Ismaili and Shafi-Bikli in Jangilan county, and the villages of Basharat and Karakishli in Kabadeli county. The village of Karachenli has been liberated from Armenia.
Earlier, the President of Azerbaijan announced the liberation of eight other areas in the Nagorno-Karabakh region from Armenian occupation.
It should be noted that the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia over Nagarno-Karabakh has been going on since September 27. The Nagorno-Karabakh region is internationally recognized as a territory of Azerbaijan. But Armenian-backed terrorists have occupied the region for decades.
Russia has called for a two-state ceasefire to end the ongoing conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia, but it has never been fully implemented. However, efforts to establish peace continue. Parstude
