Azerbaijan has released a video of the liberation of a new territory of Armenia. The new vacant area is the village of Sulemani in the opposition area of the Jabrail district.

The video was broadcast on Monday in the country’s media Azvision.

Armenia and Azerbaijan have been at odds since last month over hostility from Nagorno-Karabakh. The two countries have already agreed to a temporary ceasefire with the Russian intervention. But a few minutes after the ceasefire, there were two counterattacks. The Armenian attack killed several people in addition to houses in the Azerbaijani city of Ganja.

The one minute and 22 second video was shown in the Azeri media after the Suleimani village in Jabrail district was liberated.

On Sunday night, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, announced retaliation for the Armenian attack. In a tweet on his official Twitter page, the Azeri President said that even after the ceasefire, appropriate retaliation would be taken for the attacks on Azerbaijani settlements.

He said that the goal of the Armenian side was to regain the free territories. The political and military leaders of Armenia must take responsibility for this organized crime.

On September 26, Armenia and Azerbaijan resumed hostilities with the Nagorno-Karabakh opposition. Later on Friday, Russian-mediated marathon talks were held between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Both sides agreed to a temporary ceasefire on humanitarian grounds. During the ceasefire, the two countries agreed to exchange POWs and other prisoners and hand over their bodies.

The ceasefire would go into effect on Saturday. But within minutes of the ceasefire, Armenia and Azerbaijan accused each other of violating the ceasefire.

The Karabakh region is internationally recognized as a territory of Azerbaijan. However, the region has been controlled by ethnic Armenians since the 1990s. In that decade, more than 30,000 people died in wars with Armenia and Azerbaijan.
