Hikmet Hajiyev, an adviser to the President of Azerbaijan, said that Armenian forces had deliberately carried out military operations. He said Azerbaijani troops retaliated and liberated six villages.

Armenia has accused Azerbaijan of carrying out attacks in the Karabakh region. On the other hand, Azerbaijan has accused Armenian-backed terrorists of carrying out attacks against Azerbaijani military and civilians.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that Armenia imposed martial law in the area and sent troops there. Civilians on both sides have claimed civilian casualties after widespread clashes on the front line.
The Armenian Defense Ministry said it had destroyed three tanks, two helicopters and three drones belonging to the Azerbaijani forces. “Our response will be appropriate, and Azerbaijani civilian and military leaders must take responsibility for the conflict,” the ministry said.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Armenia said: “We will use a strong army to defend our homeland.”
Azerbaijan has rejected a statement from the Armenian Defense Ministry. Baku claims that the Azerbaijani army’s position at the front is good.
