Drivers and helpers tried to rape a university student on a moving bus in Dirai, Sunamganj. At that time, the student, a resident of the Dirai Municipal Headquarters, jumped out of the car to save her dignity and was seriously injured. The incident took place in the Sujanagar area of Dirai Madanpur Road on Saturday afternoon. The locals rescued the injured college student and took her to the Dirai Upazila Health Complex. Later, the college student was sent to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital for better treatment. The police stopped the bus.
Meanwhile, people blocked the Dirai police station at night demanding a fair trial. The blockade continued until the writing of this report.
The girl’s uncle said the college student went to her sister’s home in the Sylhet area. Today, his sister-in-law Fahad & Maisha Paribahan (Sylhet-J-11-0823) took him away on a local bus. When passengers got out of the car on the road, the car was empty at one point. Despite the fact that it is a local bus, the vehicle personnel refrained from picking up new passengers. The driver’s assistant tried to rape my niece. He jumped out of the car in the Sujanagar area and got out.

Bidyut Das, an on-call doctor in the emergency department at Dirai Hospital, said the girl had head injuries. He was sent to Osmani Hospital in Sylhet.
Ashraful Islam, officer in charge of Dirai Police Station, said the driver-assistant fled leaving his car at the Dirai bus stop. The car was impounded.
