Wahida Khanam, an officer of Dinajpur Ghoraghat Upazila Nirbahi, was sent to the Dinajpur court for five days in pretrial detention for entering the government residence with the intention of robbing her and cutting her with a hammer and a sharp weapon and injuring her and her father . They were sent to the Dinajpur court at 10 am on Saturday.

On Friday evening, the RAB handed over the accused to the Ghoraghat police station. However, the main defendant Asadul Haque (35) has been admitted to the hospital.

According to sources from the Ghoraghat Police Station, the RAB-13 delivered the painter Nabirul Islam (35) and Santu Chandra Das (28) to the Ghoraghat Police Station under the direction of DAB Babul Khan of RAB-13 at 1:40 PM on Friday.

Later, at 10 am on Saturday morning, the two defendants were sent to the Dinajpur court for pre-trial detention. On the other hand, the main defendant in the Asadul Islam case (35) was admitted to Rangpur Medical College because he was ill, Ghoraghat police said.

Last Wednesday (September 2), around 2:30 p.m., a group of criminals climbed the stairs and entered the official residence of UNO Wahida Khanum. They broke the fan in the house and entered the house and started beating Wahida Khanam with a hammer. When her father, who was in the next room, heard UNO’s screams and tried to save her, the malefactors also wounded her. Later, other residents of the neighborhood heard her screams and reported to the police. They were admitted to Rangpur Community Medical College Hospital with serious injuries. Later, when the situation deteriorated, Wahida Khanam was transferred to Dhaka last Thursday.

Waheeda Khanam’s surgery was completed last Thursday night at the Neuroscience Institute and Hospital. Doctors are known to hope that she will recover.
