Jahangir Alam is the coordinator of the Ghoraghat Upazila Juba League and Asadul Islam is a member of the convening committee. They are accused of various misdeeds, including public bidding and extortion.

It is known that Jahangir Alam was the president of the Ghoraghat Upazila Juba League. In 2016, the committee was dissolved and a convening committee was formed. Jahangir Alam became the coordinator of that committee.
