Members of the Dhaka University proctorial team were attacked by outsiders. Four people, including two women, were arrested and handed over to the police.
The attack took place in front of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Tuesday night. Proctor AKM Golam Rabbani said that several members of the team were injured in the attack.
Proctor told Prothom Alo: “The floating tents in front of the outpatient department of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital were delivered today to limit movement in the campus area considering the second corona wave. But the stores are sitting back. At night the proctorial team returns to collect the tents. Some outsiders were told to leave, but they did not go. They could not be explained in any way. At one point they attacked team members. Several members of the team were injured in the attack. Four people have been arrested and handed over to the police station and a search for one has begun. These are organized circles, I have come to know that they come here every day. The locals have welcomed our efforts. Proctor urged everyone, including outsiders, to exercise restraint.
