In the election of the executive council of the Association of Professors of the University of Comilla (2021), a section of the blue party (Shamimul-Kamal panel) has won the 15 seats. The results were announced by the Chief Elections Commissioner of the Department of Economics, Professor Muhammad Aminul Islam around 9pm on Sunday.
Previously, continuous voting took place in the teacher lounge from 9:30 am to 3:15 pm. 200 of the 252 voters voted in the elections.
Associate Professor Shamimul Islam from the Department of Economics has been elected Chairman and Associate Professor Kazi Mohammad Kamal Uddin from the same department as the Secretary General.
The other winners are vice president. Sadequzzaman and Mohammad Maksudul Karim, Deputy Secretary General Mokaddes-ul-Islam, Treasurer Abu Bakar Siddique, Secretary of Literature, Culture and Sports Shah Eklimur Reza and Secretary of Advertising and Publications Ruhul Amin.
Biswajit Chandra Dev, Mohammad Julhas Mia, Rashidul Islam Sheikh, Sajal Chandra Majumder, Tofail Ahmed, Nazmul Haque and Aman Mahbub have won seven executive member positions.
The other part of the blue party (Rabiul-Nasir panel) lost the election by 15 seats and the white party by three seats, including the president, the general secretary and an executive member.
