Each week, a student will receive three assignments, the answers to which they must write following the textbook. Notes and guides should not be viewed, and assignments cannot be submitted by copying the writing of others.
The Department of Secondary and Higher Education (Maushi) announced on Saturday the method for evaluating learning outcomes in light of the restructured curriculum as educational institutions were closed due to the coronavirus epidemic.
It has been said that students in grades six through nine are required to give homework three times a week. The assignment of the assigned subject, the evaluation, showing it to the student along with the examiner’s comment and the one saved in the institution must be completed before December 31st.
Taking into account the risks to the health of the students, the government has decided not to carry out the annual exam this time. Therefore, the learning outcomes achieved through homework will be assessed, Mausi said.
Assignments are done according to a plan of which students will be assessed in a week according to the rearranged curriculum. The assignments scheduled for that week will be given at the beginning of the week.
At the end of the week, students will complete their assignments and submit them to the educational institution to understand the new work. Assignments can be submitted through a parent or other person or online.
Assignments include explanatory questions, answers to short questions, answers to creative questions, and report preparation.
Students have to submit homework by handwriting it on white paper. The parent or their representative will collect the homework from the educational institution one day a week following the hygiene rules and deliver it to them.
And the instruction for the students is to follow the textbook for assignment work; No guides, notebooks or purchased notes are needed.
In the case of the evaluation, the individuality, individuality and creativity of the students will be verified. So if you send a copy of someone else’s writing, it will be canceled. You have to submit that assignment again. Parents have also been warned about this.
Mausi says that digital platforms have been uploaded on some platforms, such as Kishore Batayan, so that students can view classes from anywhere in the country. But many are deprived of this opportunity.
For this reason, its curriculum has been reorganized and assessed through assignments. The guidelines call for taking the necessary actions in the next class identifying weaknesses in the learning outcomes achieved by students through this assessment.
Mausi also gave separate instructions for teachers, students, heads of institutions, parents and education officials on the evaluation of learning outcomes.
He said that it was necessary to ensure that all students underwent this assessment. All evaluation records at each educational institution must be properly maintained.
The teacher will comment based on the general evaluation of all the tasks of a subject in a class, as very good, good, good and progress is required.
Students will not be able to take any other type of test or assignment during this assignment-based assessment process.
All educational institutions in the country have been closed since March 16 after the start of the coronavirus infection. In addition to Qawmi Madrasa, other educational institutions have announced a holiday on November 14.
