Mohammad Salauddin is the mentor to Bangladeshi superstar cricketers including Shakib-Tamim. Although he is not seen in the team’s coaching staff, his demands are high in any national event. Head coach compensation is roughly half that of category ‘D’! Also, the assistant coaches are earning around 1.5 lakh rupees. The honor rate for physio-trainers is even lower. However, Salauddin does not receive any remuneration due to his work at Gazi Group. At the same time, he doesn’t want to see anyone in the coaching profession.
Salauddin said: ‘I am not going to charge any fees here. I work at Gazi Group. I am very ashamed of the coach’s remuneration. I’ve always wanted coaches to come to Bangladesh, for more players to come, to want to train. That they live in good condition. I would never tell a boy to come train with that salary. You see, we are grade “E” people. What a “D” player gets, a coach doesn’t get. So why should you ask someone else to come into the coaching profession?
