Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Turkey’s border with Armenia could be opened. “We have no problem with the people of Armenia, we have a conflict with the government of the country,” he said. So Erdogan wants a change in the Armenian government.

He made the remarks at a joint press conference with Azerbaijani President Baku on Thursday. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is in Azerbaijan to attend the victory celebrations.

“More than 100,000 Armenians live in my country,” Erdogan said. We can open the border again. We have no enmity with the people of Armenia.

Erdogan said that the people of Armenia will be freed from the burden of a failed leadership, which in the past lied to them and pushed them into poverty.

The Turkish president said he had spoken with Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran and Georgia to build regional cooperation. If possible, Armenia will also be there.

In the war with Armenia, Turkey directly sided with Azerbaijan. The country has provided military and diplomatic assistance and support to Azerbaijan. There are allegations that Erdogan sent troops from Syria to strengthen the Azeri army. As a result, the victory of Azerbaijan has become easier. At least 5,000 people have died in recent clashes.

Recently, an agreement was reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan through the mediation of Moscow. As a result, Armenia had to relinquish control of the Nagorno-Karabakh area, dominated by the Armenians. Even the six districts they occupied after 1990 had to be handed over to Azerbaijan.
