Azerbaijan shot down an Armenian spy drone for allegedly conducting intelligence activities in violation of the ceasefire.

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry says an Armenian drone was spying on a military base in Azerbaijan on Sunday morning.

The drone was shot down with the help of a fighter jet as soon as it was spotted.

Meanwhile, Armenia’s bombing of Ganja, Azerbaijan’s second-largest city, broke a ceasefire and killed seven people and wounded 33, the country’s Defense Ministry said.

Since September 26, Armenia and Azerbaijan have been at war with the Nagorno-Karabakh opposition.

10-hour peace talks negotiated by Russia with Armenia and Azerbaijan in Moscow on Friday. Russia says the two countries agreed to a ceasefire. The ceasefire would go into effect at 12 noon local time on Saturday.

According to the Azerbaijani media, Armenia has continued to bombard Azerbaijan in violation of the ceasefire.
