The Armenian government has started to return land to Azerbaijan under the Nagorno-Karabakh peace agreement negotiated by Russia. These lands have been occupied by Armenia for the past 30 years.
Armenia handed over an area called Kalbazar to Azerbaijan on Sunday under a recent agreement brokered by Russia. Also, another place called Agdam must be returned to Azerbaijan before November 20. Similarly, an area called Lachin is expected to be returned to Azerbaijan before December 1. Several parts of the area have already been retaken by Azerbaijani troops.
Armenians of ethnic descent left the Kalbazar area for Armenia on Sunday. The area was occupied by Armenian-backed separatist terrorists and Armenian troops in the 1990s. But before leaving the area, people set their houses on fire. The Karabakh region is internationally recognized as the land of Azerbaijan. Source: Daily Sabah and Parstoday
