On September 1, the police brought an indictment against 24 people, including Rifat’s wife, Minni, in the murder case of Rifat Sharif in the Barguna Judicial Court of First Instance. At the same time, the number one defendant in the Rifat murder case, Nayan Bond, was killed in a shooting and was acquitted.
On January 1, the Barguna District and Sessions Court of Judges brought charges against 10 adult defendants in the Rifat murder case. On the other hand, the Barguna Juvenile Court brought charges against 14 minors accused in the Rifat murder case on 8 January.
